Monday, July 23, 2011 – A “Great” Family Evening Event
At the Brigham Young Farmhouse at This Is The Place Park.

Admission is Free!

4:00 pm - Train Ride departs from the Farmhouse front yard, Social Hour and bring your own picnic.

5:00 pm – Special Guest Speaker Artist Julie Rogers.

Monday, July 23, 2011 - Brother Brigham's Ball from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at This is the Place Heritage State Park. Admission is $5.00 per person. Pioneer dancing and refreshments will be provided. Pioneer dress is suggested but optional.

 Clive Romney has written a couple of wonderful songs about Julie Rogers’ paintings. One of the songs is about Joseph Angell Young as a rescuer of the Hand cart group in Julie’s Blue Angel painting. He and his group will be performing at the Brigham’s Ball event.

Monday, July 28, 2011 - The annual Young Family Temple Night will be held on July 28th, 2011. We will be meeting at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of the Salt Lake Temple for a special family fireside prior to attending the 6:00 pm session. This event is cosponsored by the John Young Sr. & Brigham Young Family organizations.

Thursday through Saturday, August 25-27, 2011 -The Sons of the Utah Pioneers will be holding their National Convention this year in Salt Lake City. This years convention will have a particular focus on Brigham Young. Brigham Young Family Association Immediate Past-president Mary Ellen Elggren will be speaking the evening of August 26th from 5:30 to 8:30 with Gracia Jones from the Joseph Smith Jr. Family Association.
