Brother Brigham’s Family Ball. Open to all,
Brigham’s Family Ball is the perfect activity to finish a
month of family events. There will be live period music,
traditional dress, a Grande March, poetry reading, vocalists,
dance instruction and more. An event for the whole family, the

Young Family has received a special invitation from Church
Historian,
Marlin K. Jensen, to come to the new
Church History Library for a
tour and presentation on the Brigham Young collection
by Brigham Young expert,
Richard Turley, of the Church Historians Office.
Descendants of the extended John Young Family (Brigham’s
father).

Summer is finally here and
it is time to turn our thoughts to our
annual family reunion,
Monday the 20th of July, 2009.
We will meet at the
Brigham
Young Farmhouse, at
This is the Place Heritage State Park.
Pioneer games and an hour to visit and socialize begins
at 5:00. A delicious chuck wagon dinner will be served at
6:00. Our program with special guest will
start at 7:00.

On June 9, 2007, the Joseph Smith
Jr. Family Reunion invited representatives of the Young family
to attend and present a
statement regarding the relationship between Brigham Young
and Emma Smith. Our statement began, "We revere [her] as a
truly great and saintly lady..."

Kari Robinson, Mary Ellen Elggren,
and Peter Kennedy represented the Brigham Young Family
Association at the Joseph Smith Jr. Family Reunion this past
June, and presented a
statement regarding the relationship of Brigham Young to
Joseph's wife, Emma

Call to Family Members
Please share your
histories and photos. Our goal is to gather transcripts and
high-resolution scans of all photos and materials available regarding
the children of John Sr. and Abigail (Nabby) Young and their
descendants. We want to make all of this material available to the
